Abstract |
The National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology (NACEPT) is a public advisory committee originally chartered on July 7, 1988. The Council provides recommendations and advice to the Administrator and other EPA officials on specific topics identified by the Administrator and Deputy Administrator. NACEPT membership includes senior-level representatives of a wide range of EPAs constituents, including: business and industry; academia; Federal, State, and local government agencies; Tribal representatives; environmental groups, and non-profit entities. In March, 1996, the EPA Administrator requested that a committee of NACEPT be convened to provide advice and develop recommendations on the Agency's current, and proposed, process for managing its information resources. This request resulted in the formation of the Information Impacts Committee (IIC) of NACEPT. |
