Abstract |
The potential biological hazard of ozonation was evaluated by using rapid microbial bioassays of selected organic compounds under ozonation conditions. Twenty-nine compounds were evaluated for mutagenic activity before and after ozonation using the Ames Salmonella/microsome and the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae D3 assays. |
