Abstract |
Thirty-one placer mine sites were visited by EPA and State personnel during August 1997 as the first phase of a study of the occurrence of metals in surface water above and below mines, and in effluent. Field measurements were made of temperature, pH, electrical conductivity and settleable solids. One-time grab samples were collected for laboratory analysis of total suspended, sediment, total recoverable metals, dissolved metals and hardness. |
