Abstract | The Office of Research and Development (ORD) of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) provides technical support to USEPA Regional Offices which are responsible for overseeing and/or implementing the remediation of contaminated sites. As a result, ORD has developed a number of effective mechanisms for prividing timely, practical and high quality technical support on such site remediation projects, and has produced a variety of technology transfer documents on the topic. The paper describes these activities, with particular emphasis on the program of the USEPA ORD Risk Reduction Engineering Laboratory's program to deal with engineering remediation problems. |
