Abstract | This report summarizes five surveys which were conducted at a Bauxite mining operation, an Alumina reduction plant, an Aluminum reduction plant, an underground Copper mine and mill, and an open pit Copper mine and concentrator. Process components and controlled source releases were sampled for naturally occurring radioactivity. Particular emphasis was given to Radon-222, Lead-210, and Polonium-210 emissions from crushing and drying processes. |
