Abstract | Waterborne disease outbreaks continue to occur in the United States. Because effective treatment technology is available, the problems appears to be that of upgrading water systems having inadequate barrier protection from contaminated source waters. The paper summarizes consensus views of possible changes to new microbial regulations needed to address weaknesses. |
