Abstract | The report sets forth the water pollution control program being followed by the respective States in the Lower Portion Upper Mississippi River Basin. The program, which is based on data available as of November 1, 1954, was developed after a thorough consideration of the existing and potential uses of the water resources in the basin; the pollution entering the streams and lakes, and the resulting damages; the benefits which may result from pollution prevention and abatement; and the prevention measures now in effect as well as those which are needed. |
