Abstract |
The paper presents an assessment of phased isolation ditch technologies currently used in Denmark. They include process modifications to T and DE ditches for nitrogen and phosphorus removal. Key objectives of the assessment were to (1) present a technology profile, (2) determine current development status, (3) compare phased isolation ditch technologies, with sequencing batch reactors (SBR) and conventional oxidation ditch technologies, and (4) assess potential effects of implementing the technology in the United States. |
