Abstract |
The Prevention of Significant Deterioration and visibility regulations of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) require the evaluation of a type of visibility impairment which can be traced to a single source or small group of sources known as 'plume blight'. The VISCREEN model is used for both Level-1 and Level-2 screening analyses, and is designed to evaluate plume visual effects along multiple lines of sight across the plume's length for two different viewing backgrounds and for two different scattering angles. It also provides for the evaluation of the potential perceptibility of plumes using recent psychophysical concepts. Software Description: The program is written in FORTRAN 77 for implementation on IBM PC or compatible. The system will operate with 256K memory. |
