Abstract |
This Record of Decision (ROD) documents the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) selection of the remedial action for the Tutu Wellfield Site (Site). The selected remedy addresses both groundwater and the source materials that may be acting as a reservoir for migration of contamination to groundwater. At the Tutu Wellfield Site, the principal threat wastes are surface and subsurface soil containing high concentrations of mobile contaminants of concern, and non-aqueous phase liquids (free product or NAPLs). Surface soils with non-mobile contaminants of low to moderate toxicity were determined to represent low-level threat wastes. |
