Abstract |
A vacuum distillation apparatus and a procedure developed for the analysis of fish tissue samples are described. The volatile organic compounds are distilled from the sample and characterized by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) using a fused-silica capillary column (FSCC). Examples of volatile organic compounds that can be detected in fish tissue distillates are provided. |
