Abstract |
Reviewed are studies in St. Louis, Denver, Los Angeles, and Tulsa on the use of the SAI Urban Airshed Model for the development of strategies for ozone control. The SAI Urban Airshed Model is a three-dimensional photochemical grid model incorporating the Carbon-Bond Kinetics Mechanism. The report discusses the availability of aerometric data in the four studies and the sensitivity of model predictions to selected input parameters. An analysis is presented of the performance of the model with respect to ambient ozone observations. Issues and results pertaining to use of the model for control strategy analyses are identified and discussed. It is anticipated that potential users may benefit from the experiences in applying the model which are described here. |
