Abstract
This decision document, a Record of Decision (ROD), presents the selected remedial action for Operable Unit (OU) 1 at George Air Force Base (GAFB). The purpose of this ROD is to set forth the remedial action to be conducted to remediate groundwater contaminated by trichloroethene (TCE) beneath the NEDA and adjacent off-base areas. No further action is planned for sites SD-25 (S-20), the Industrial/Storm Drain, and WP-26 (S-21), the STP Percolation Ponds, which are also included in OU 1, as these sites were within acceptable risk levels based upon the risk assessment performed as part of the remedial investigation.
