Abstract
The purpose of this Toxicological Review is to provide scientific support and rationale for the hazard and dose-response assessment in IRIS pertaining to exposure to 1,1,1-trichloroethane. It is not intended to be a comprehensive treatise on the chemical or toxicological nature of 1,1,1-trichloroethane. This document presents background information and justification for the Integrated Risk Information System (IRIS) Summary of the hazard and dose-response assessment of 1,1,1-trichloroethane. IRIS Summaries may include oral reference dose (RfD) and inhalation reference concentration (RfC) values for chronic and less-than-lifetime exposure durations, and a carcinogenicity assessment.

Contents Notes
The purpose of this toxicological review is to provide scientific support and rationale for the hazard and dose-response assessment in IRIS pertaining to chronic exposure to dichloroacetic acid (DCA). It is not intended to be a comprehensive treatise on the chemical or toxicological nature of DCA.
