Abstract | Four groups of each 5 male rats received a daily dose of 5 mg TBTO/kg as aqueous suspension once, three times, 7 times, and 14 times, respectively. Organ and tissue specimens were removed in each case 24 hours after the single (last) dose. Urine and feces were collected in daily frac- tions in that group of animals treated for 14 days. As was shown by a preexperiment in bile duct cannulated animals only about 20 % of TBTO dose administered was absorbed in this study. Excluding the radioactivity located in the gastro-intestinal tract (GIT), on an average 12 + or - 2 % of the administered dose was detectable in the animal bodies 24 hours after i.g. administration. |
