Abstract
The Record of Decision (ROD) presents the selected remedial action for the Hexcel Site located in Livermore, California. For the HMP OU the remedy consists of removing sources of organic compounds (acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, and benzene) in two locations by in-situ soil vapor extraction, soil aeration, and sparging to enhance aerobic biodegradation. For the ADS OU the remedy consists of monitoring concentrations of methane in the subsurface soils with a contingency for methane control measures if necessary, regarding the surface to prevent ponding and excess infiltration of water, continued groudwater monitoring, and a deed notification identifying areas of buried waste.
