Abstract | A pilot plant was established to treat the wasteswater from the low-BTU coal gasification process at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HAAP) in Kingsport, Tennessee. The treatment program, conducted over a two-month operating period, consisted of rough filtration, dephenolization, ammonia stripping, biological oxidation, granular-media filtration and adsorption. |
