Abstract | The emission of SO(sub 2) and NO(sub x) in sweden 1991 amounted to 107 and 388 ktons respectively, representing a reduction compared to the emissions in 1980 with 79 and 8 % respectively. The reduction of SO(sub 2) emission is caused primarily by a switch to low-sulfur fuel oil, encouraged by an environmental tax on sulfur. In the report, data on the emissions are broken down for the different activities causing the emissions. Test results of emissions from 23 new car models (1991), and for 3 cars of 1989 model. 14 refs, 6 figs, 8 tabs |
