Abstract |
The report examines the costs, benefits, and other economic impacts of implementing alternative primary annual nitrogen dioxide (NO2) ambient air quality standards (NAAQSs). Three alternative NAAQSs are investigated: 0.053 ppm, the current air standard, 0.060 ppm, and 0.070 ppm. Results are provided for two mobile source inspection and maintenance scenarios and for three automotive air pollution control standards. Also discussed is the health evidence and other environmental effects evidence that support both a primary and secondary (welfare) NAAQS being established at the same level. |
