Abstract |
This document contains the proceedings of the first formal scientific review of the Biological Effects Studies managed by NOAA's Outer Continental Shelf Environmental Assessment Program (OCSEAP). The projects, managed by NOAA/OCSEAP, fall into two categories, based on the sources of financial support: Bureau of Land Management Environmental Studies Program in support of OCS leasing for Alaskan oil and gas development (Part I of Proceedings); NOAA's Energy Resources Project on Fate and Effects of Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Marine Ecosystems and Organisms. Part III of the Proceedings contains discussions of selected topics addressed at the Review and a brief synopsis of general comments received from the invited outside reviewers. |
