Abstract | The objective of the report was to develop a digital computer method which would investigate the dissolved oxygen relationships in flowing streams of a complex river basin; provide for automatic adjustment of flows to maintain desired water quality objectives, in this case, dissolved oxygen; and report results in a rational scheme that is useful to water resource managers. The computer program herein developed was applied to the Willamette River Basin in northwestern Oregon to illustrate its use. (Modified author abstract) |
