Abstract
This summary report highlights the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA's) most recent evaluation of status and trends in our nation's air quality. Overall, national air quality levels measured at thousands of monitoring stations across the country have shown improvement over the past 20 years for all six principal pollutants.
