Contents Notes | Describes the scope and objectives of the U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN), a project of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). USCRN comprises 221 instrument sites across the U.S. that collect data for air and ground surface temperatures, precipitation, wind speed and solar radiation to enable monitoring of climate trends, variations and change. USCRN's data analyses will be available to an array of international and federal government agencies and the commercial sector. |
