The compendium has been prepared to provide state and local governments, non-government entities and others interested in water pollution control programs, insight into the means, organizational and programmatic, which have been adopted by the several states, possessions and territories throughout the Nation to achieve environmental goals. Specifically, this compendium identifies the policy making/regulatory bodies in each state, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands with water pollution control responsibilities. |
