Abstract | A conference of state and federal agencies was called to consider the occurrence, distribution, and effects of cyanide, mercury, and other metals pollution in western South Dakota. The report presents the results of technical studies conducted in the Cheyenne River system to determine the location and extent of toxic materials due to previous mining activity, and measure the effect of the toxic substances on surface water, groundwater, and biota. |
