Abstract |
A metal recovery system using ion exchange and electrolytic recovery was installed in an electroplating shop. The system reduced the amount of metal contaminants and cyanide needing pretreatment by 90+%. The equipment has been in operation since 1985 and when fully operational will keep the effluent in compliance with pretreatment regulations, replacing the hydroxide precipitation system already in place. |
