Abstract
The Soil Screening framework represents the first of several tools the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) plans to develop to standardize the evaluation and cleanup of contaminated soils. Soil screening levels (SSLs) streamline the remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS) process by accelerating and increasing consistency in decisions concerning soil contamination.
