Abstract | The computer program (FORTRAN, IBM 1130) can be used to compute the quasi-steady-state performance and cost of a fixed conventional activated sludge wastewater renovation system. The program calculates the performance and cost of the system as a whole based on relationships which have been developed for the process individually. An influent stream vector and decision variables are input. This system includes primary settling, activated sludge, sludge thickening, anaerobic digestion of primary and waste activated sludge, sludge elutriation, vacuum filtration of sludge, sludge incineration and sludge drying beds.
