"This project studies the problem of flue gas desulfurization (FGD) sludge disposal to land. Specifically, the chemical species of FGD sludge constituents are thermodynamically modeled using the equilibrium constant approach in an attempt to predict the constituent concentrations in fresh and aged FGD wastewater and sludge. This method involves solving the stoichiometric equations of various chemical species subject to constraints as well as mass balance and charge balance relations." |
