Abstract |
It has been shown that arsenic is incorporated into the tissues of marine, freshwater and mammalian organisms. It has also been demonstrated that various forms of the arsenicals are biotransformed into several compounds, the nature of which seem to be the organic derivatives of arsenic. The present paper describes a method for the simultaneous determination of arsenic species in tissues using high performance liquid chromatography coupled to a post-column hydride generation system. The modified arsenicals are then detected by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrophotometry (E.A.A.). (Copyright (c) Proc. West. Pharmacol. 1986.) |
