Abstract |
As a result of a national study of the sources and prevention of infiltration and inflow, a Manual of Practice was proposed. The Manual is intended to serve as a guide to local officials in evaluating their construction practices, conducting surveys to determine the extent and location of infiltration and inflow, the making of economic analyses of the cost of excessive infiltration/inflow waters; and instituting corrective action. Excerpts from sewer control legislation are given as well as information on air and exfiltration testing. |
