Abstract |
The overal objective of the demonstration plant operation is to investigate and define the potential benefits, particular advantages and disadvantages, and general applicability of the ion exchange and sand filtration processes for reclamation of treated wastewater. The current period of operation has been devoted to the optimization of the cost of existing processes. Two of the problems studies were the design and operation of filters for more effective utilization of the ion-exchange process and the development of satisfactory resin restoration techniques for minimizing the operating costs of the ion-exchange process.
