Abstract | Propazine (CAS No. 139-40-2) was evaluated for developmental toxicity. It was administered in pregnant albino rats (number/group not reported) dosed with 0, 10, 100, or 500 mg/kg/day of body weight by oral gavage. Signs of toxicity included reduced body weight gains and food consumption and an increase in the incidence of clinical signs. At 500 mg/kg/day of body weight, fetal weights were reduced and an increased incidence of incompletely ossified cranial structures was reported. This study was briefly summarized and no further information was reported. |
