Abstract
The purpose of this document is to outline a policy by which States may, upon their own initiative, recommend to the National Air Pollution Control Administration boundaries for air quality control regions. These recommendations may be for areas presently announced for designation by the Federal Government, or may be in additional areas which the States feel should be formally designated as air quality control regions.
