Abstract | Adoption of a waste reduction plan can actually save money, improve plating results, and decrease pollution-control problems by: (1) keeping expensive plating chemicals in the tanks where they belong; (2) cutting down on the amount of chemicals used in waste-water treatment by reducing waste loads; (3) decreasing the volume of sludge for disposal; and (4) cutting the volume of waste to be treated, thereby lessening the capital outlay for a pollution-control system. |
