Abstract |
The reports described a moderately high lethal inhalation toxicity of TMS to rats by exposure to vapor generated at ambient temperature. This was associated with severe injury and inflammation to the respiratory tract. The 1980 report was concerned with the effects of repeated exposures, and the 1988 supplemental report with an acute vapor exposure study. In order to more precisely define the concentration-response relationships for the known toxicity of TMS vapor, a short-term repeated vapor inhalation study is currently being conducted with rats. The information available to date confirms the lethal toxicity and respiratory tract injury. |
