Abstract | The influence of B-1216 upon the progress and outcome of pregnancy was assessed in sexually mature female rats of the CD strain. For this purpose 8-1216 was administered orally, by gastric intubation in corn oil vehicle, at dosages of 10, 50 or 250 mg/kg/day, to groups of 20 pregnant rats from Day 6 to Day 15 inclusive of gestation. Twenty pregnant control animals received the vehicle only, throughout the same period of gestation and at the same volume dosage (10 m1/kg). All females were killed on Day 20 of gestation for examination of their uterine contents. |
