Abstract |
Zonyl BA (TLF-18k7) was administered orally to 10 young adult male ChR-CD rats at 1700 mg/kg/day. None survived the planned dosing period. One animal died after having received 3 of 10 planned doses; 3 more were found dead after receiving the fourth dose; the reminder died after having received 5 doses. The test compound was then given to a second group of 10 rats at 850 ag/kg/day. Four animals failed to survive the planned dosing period. Of the 6 survivors, 5 were killed on the last day of the dosing period and 2 were killed after a 14-day recovery period. |
