Abstract | The intraperitoneal LD50 (with 95% confidence limits) in rats was 1025 (511-1539) mg/kg for both sexes combined. The test material caused acute toxic effects at 273, 910 and 2730 mg/kg levels during the first 24 hours post-dosing which included pelvic elevation, ataxia, impaired righting and visual placing responses, and flaccid limb and body tone. Although these frequently appeared as antemortem signs, these observations were also seen in some animals which survived. |
