Abstract
The proceedings documents presentations from the 7th symposium on the transfer and utilization of particulate control technology, March 22-25, 1988 in Nashville, TN. Objectives of the symposium were to encourage the exchange of new knowledge in the particulate control field between designers, users, and researchers, and to stimulate new ideas that will lead to further technological improvements. Fabric filters (FFs) and electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) were the major topics, but novel concepts and advanced technologies were also explored. Volume 1 contains 33 papers covering dust properties, power supplies and controls for ESPs, advanced SO2/particulate control studies, ESP performance evaluation and upgrading, and ESP modeling.
