Abstract |
This report addresses various operation and maintenance problems frequently associated with three types of air pollution control equipment: electrostatic precipitators, scrubbers, and fabric filters. The report discusses instrumentation, materials of construction, and design considerations in particulate control equipment that improve performance. Such improvements include reduction or prevention of malfunction, early detection of malfunction, and easier maintenance and operation of equipment. Because some problems can never be completely eliminated, methods of reducing downtime are also addressed. |
