Abstract |
EPA has developed a Protocol for Generating Unit-Specific Emission Estimates for Equipment Leaks of VOC and VHAP. The protocol provides several methods for estimating emissions from equipment leaks. These methods range from the application of average emission factors for the equipment component inventory to the use of bagging data for generating unit-specific leak rate/screening value correlations. In addition, the protocol provides technically sound methods of source screening and mass emissions sampling (bagging). The document will help facilities generate accurate plant-specific equipment leak emissions. |
