Abstract |
Plans for attainment of national ambient air quality standards have been submitted by all states. The report describes progress toward implementing those plans from January to June 1974. Since the last progress report, the number of fully approved state implementation plans (SIP's), with no regulatory disapprovals, has dropped from 16 to 3. This is due to the Environmental Protection Agency's promulgation for the review of indirect sources. The adequacy of air monitoring networks and air quality data reporting is reviewed; and the status of EPA enforcement activities is discussed. Possible deficiencies identified are being investigated by the regional offices. |
