Abstract | The recommended standards of performance will limit the emission of particulate matter from asphalt roofing manufacturing plants and from blowing stills and asphalt storage tanks at oil refineries and asphalt processing plants. These standards include both mass and visible emission limitations. The control systems used by the asphalt roofing industry include high velocity air filters (HVAF), electrostatic precipitators (ESP), afterburners (A/B), baghouses, and mist eliminators. Aspects of enforcing the recommended standards of performance are discussed in the report. |
