Abstract | During the early spring of 1972, the 2,600 megawatt fossil-fuel powered Cumberland River power plant is scheduled to begin operation. To monitor the possible effects of the plant on the aquatic environment of the Cumberland River, the Environmental Protection Agency established a series of six stations upstream and downstream from the power plant. This is an interim report presenting the pre-operational data collected from the six stations in September 1971 and January 1972. |
