Abstract |
Data collected by the National Eutrophication Survey during 1972-73 from lakes and reservoirs in ten northeast and north-central states are presented. Relationships between total phosphorus concentrations and chlorophyll a, total phosphorus concentrations and secchi disc depth, total phsophorus concentrations and algal assay control yields ae developed. Total annual phosphorus and nitrogen loadings to lakes are related to their trophic condition. Water quality criteria for phosphorus and nitrogen and also discussed. |
