Abstract | The report gives results of a 3-year program to assess the environmental impact of petroleum refining atmospheric emissions. Fugitive process emissions were extensively sampled at 13 refineries in the U.S. Nonmethane hydrocarbon emission rates were measured from valves, flanges, pump and compressor seals, process drains, relief valves, cooling towers, and wastewater treating units. |
