| Abstract |
This final report is a comprehensive summary and compilation of the scientific evidence related to the hypothesis that cancer rates in human populations are associated with their exposure to pollutants present in the ambient air. Critical comments on the strength and weaknesses of the studies are presented and general methodological problems in the conduct and interpretation of the studies are discussed. No overall judgments about the weight of the entire body of scientific evidence are presented. |
