Abstract |
Plant metabolism studies are designed to characterize the qualitative nature of the total terminal residue in plants. Specifically, these studies should provide an estimate of total residues in the treated crop, identify the major components of the total terminal residue thus indicating the components to be looked for in residue quantification studies, indicate the distribution of residues in the treated crop, and show the efficiency of extraction procedures for various components of the residue. The SEP describes in a detailed, sequential stepwise manner how EPA reviewers evaluate plant metabolism studies, and what type of information is taken into consideration in the review process. |
