Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between temperature and the rate of both the carbonaceous and the nitrogenous deoxygenation of an effluent from a conventional activated sludge waste water treatment plant. A 'jug' dilution technique was used for the biochemical oxygen demand determinations. Numerous nitrite and nitrate-nitrogen analyses were also conducted to establish the kinetics of the nitrogenous phase of deoxygenation as accurately as possible. |
